10.0Location is stunning. Peaceful and perfect for a reset.
− Some features of the house are a little run down. Nothing too bad, just in need of some attention. Back stairs in particular.
We enjoyed the location, so had a delightful stay, though a few house elements detracted a little.
8.06 friends visited Kabine for a few days. It's on a magnificent site directly on Lake Macquarie, as advised in the ad. Beds were as described & comfortable.
− The house is ageing & that shows in quite a few places (rugs, bathroom fittings, doors, etc), though this is more an observation than a complaint. There were surprisingly few glasses.
The property was neat & tidy but it was rundown & I expected more for the amount of money paid.
5.0The location was beautiful
− The property was run down. There was only one small air conditioner on the back sunroom wall & it did not cool the whole house. As the air conditioner could not cool the entire house we tried to open the windows for fresh air, as it was summertime in Australia, but they were locked & the few doors & windows that could be opened all fly screens were damaged therefore if we did open them mosquitos, flies & bugs came in.

− The blinds and flyscreens were quite old and tarnished, with some flyscreens having holes that unfortunately let bugs into the house in the evening. Additionally, two of the fans were not working, and the air conditioner only cooled a small section of the sunroom. Lastly, the pots and pans were outdated and not very clean, which discouraged us from cooking.
Fabulous location for boating and water sports . View was great
8.0Location - lakefront was fantastic especially being able to have our boat outside alongside the private jetty Kayaks n paddle board were supplied Plenty of rooms for our family group of 7
− A few minor issues /broken , damaged items 1 air conditioning unit - sunroom only Not all pedestal fans were working Unfortunately only one bathroom - not great for our group of 7 - though there was a 2nd toilet
