The apartment was easily accessible.

− The landlord ability to control the heat in the unit from afar. And turning it off in the middle of the day/night in 10 degree weather. The rooms are directly on the streets, so difficulty sleeping I can hear all the cars etc driving on the roads. Which kept waking me up.

centralized heater was not at all effective. Damaged and flaky pieces of laminated wooden flooring.

There was no breakfast provided. The location is a big discomfort. If you are visiting NY for the first time in the intention of going to attractions, this property should be the last on earth. Because we spent more than $850 for the Uber in just 4 days. It says 4 miles or 5 miles but the uber cost is $35 to $55, sometimes $70.

− Clear and honest information about the duration of travel to Manhattan or any attraction by uber would be appreciated. Because 2 miles distance is nothing for people from other states. But in NY anything more than 1.5 miles is not worth spending time walking or for uber if you are in time crunch.

− Logement en sous-sol, sans fenêtre et sans chauffage. Salle de bains insalubre car l’évacuation des WC remonte dans la douche. Peu d’équipements dans la cuisine. Nous avons finalement décider de prendre une chambre d’hôtel le dernier soir pour avoir un minimum de confort.

The only positive aspect was that the host responded quickly to messages. However, the only solution offered was cancellation during the Christmas period, which was not a realistic or helpful option.

− The apartment was completely different from what was advertised. It is a basement unit with exposed boiler and water heater rooms directly next to the sleeping area, visible through wall panels and closets. The apartment was extremely dusty and poorly maintained, which triggered severe allergy symptoms and breathing difficulties. My partner, who has asthma, had to use his inhaler repeatedly. There was no cooking stove despite the listing photos showing one (only a microwave). The bed was broken, the apartment was very cold despite heating being advertised, and the overall environment felt unhygienic and unsafe. Bathroom fixtures were damaged, and warning signs threatening penalties were posted instead of fixing plumbing issues. This accommodation was not suitable for guests and did not match the listing description or photos.

− The bathroom door was broken and one of was stuck in the bathroom. Also the bed sheets were not clean
