A lovely location conveniently located to the train station and Bretten city center.
10.0The house is lovely and the third floor apartment was comfortable and well appointed. The host is wonderful. She was incredibly responsive to questions. She was a perfect balance of being available (even suggesting outings or where to get groceries or hikes) without being obtrusive in any way. The apartment has a lovely view of the beautiful garden that the host spends a lot of time caring for.
− These are not "dislikes" so much as sharing information: the area is very nice but guests looking to access to the train will need to be able to walk a largely flat path to the train station (about 10-15 minutes by foot). If you are working/sightseeing in Bretten itself (as I was) it is about a 25-30 minute walk. The closest grocery store is a little north of the house (Kaufland; a bit hilly on a zig-zag road; 20 minute walk) or closer to town (an Aldi or Lidl are both near the train station). If you are coming in the summer (or sleep hot), you might want to ask for a fan.
