1.0The bed was clean
− The room remained illuminated during the night with light through door top window and external flood lights on and off. 1 x bright light in the room. Noisy other guest grunting continuously, assume he suffered from touretts. Mens bathroom facility simply discusting, broken fittings run down no sign of maintenance. The verbage implied that there was an airport shuttle. There's no such thing other than a taxi at 48$. For many years, I've travelled the world and stayed in budget accommodation. This one takes the prize for the worst value for money, l wouldn't recommend it if it was half the price. Small single bed in a room that made you feel what it must be like in a prison cell.
Stay clear of Grand Central Hotel Proserpine. The owner is irrational
1.0− Owner refused to let me on to the property when I arrived 20 minutes late after driving for 14 hours. In trying to resolve the situation by phone he became agitated a said he refused to deal with me. He did suggest I approach Metropole Hotel nearby where I was warmly received even without a reservation.

− There was nobody there to book us in. After finally calling “the manager “ we got a key. He wasn’t happy. The facilities weren’t good. Not being used to staying in hotels we were quite shocked to see what you get for $150.
