high service at good value -nice to come back to a chill homebase

staff very helpful and friendly. 25min drive to Old Town and easy to get to. Great beach - low key, sandy bottom, you can walk out super far with no waves. Beach chairs and umbrellas are only 10e vs 40-100e at the popular tourist beach clubs. hotel room was comfortable, good shower, nice to have a small balcony (nice touch they installed towel bars on the balcony so you can hang your suits to dry). the hotel is shared by the Mondrian to give you quick access to additional restaurants. you're midway to Old Town and the Port and St. Eularia, Dallias and the north so makes it easier to give you reason to check out other parts of the island.

Stayed at The Hyde last year but I must say that this year the experience was amazing. The location is beautiful and offers local amenities. Rooms were a good size and immaculate. Breakfast and the bar food was incredible. Unlimited towels. Excellent service. Staff lovely. Extended our rooms as we had a late flight on check out day.

Great location Great value for money

Overall, we enjoyed the hotel itself. The location was great, the rooms were modern and looked exactly as expected, and the facilities had a lot of potential.

− At check-in, no one explained where our room was, how to get there, or provided basic information such as the Wi-Fi details. Our air conditioning didn’t work during our entire three-night stay despite reporting it every day, and nothing was ever fixed. Housekeeping was also disappointing. On the first two days, they only came around 4–5 p.m., exactly when we had returned from the beach and needed to get ready for dinner reservations. We asked them to come back later that evening, but they refused, so our room wasn’t cleaned. Ironically, on my last morning they knocked twice at 9 a.m., waking me up, and then rudely blamed me for not using the “Do Not Disturb” sign. Breakfast was overcrowded, food was constantly running out, and room service was unreliable. Even something as simple as borrowing a wine opener turned into an issue, as we were asked to return it immediately. At check-out, no one explained what would happen to our security deposit. Throughout our stay, the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, making us feel like an inconvenience whenever we asked a polite question. This is simply not the level of service you expect from a four-star hotel. It’s a real shame because the hotel itself is lovely and in a fantastic location. However, the poor service, lack of communication, unprofessional attitude of the staff, and the overall lack of attention to guests made it impossible for us to fully enjoy our stay. Unfortunately, this was not the level of service we expected from a four-star hotel.
