Nice little hotel in Uluwatu

I had a lovely stay at Alam Cottage Uluwatu. The property has a peaceful and charming feel, and the overall setting is very relaxing. The rooms and grounds were pleasant, the hotel had a nice cottage-style atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It is a good option if you are looking for something quiet and simple rather than a large resort. The hotel itself is lovely, with a calm environment that makes it easy to unwind. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and appreciated the comfort and character of the property.

− The main issue during my stay was that the air conditioning was not working properly, which made the room less comfortable than it should have been, especially in the Bali heat. This is something the hotel should definitely improve, as good air conditioning is important for a comfortable stay. The other point to note is the surrounding area. While the hotel itself is lovely and peaceful, there were not many dining options nearby, so it may be better suited to guests who have transport or are happy to travel a little for meals. That said, these issues did not take away from the fact that the property itself is charming, relaxing, and well worth considering. With better air conditioning and more convenient food options nearby, it would be an even stronger stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were very spacious. The hotel is about 10–15 minutes from the center by car, which was convenient.

Perfect little Villa that was a place to call home in Uluwatu

I loved arriving at Alam Cottage as it was the perfect place to stay in Uluwatu as it was away from the busy parts of Uluwatu and I felt right at home in my own cosy little villa. I was greeted by Mika upon arrival and he was so lovely, kind, friendly and welcoming and allowed me to chill out in another room whilst I waited for my Villa to be ready. There were some Villa had everything I needed along with a little outside kitchenette. I loved having the privacy of being in my own Villa and sitting outside each morning and night. Whilst there is construction going on around the cottage it really didn’t bother me as that’s happening everywhere in Bali. It would have been great to have used the pool during my stay but it was under construction so I’ll get to use it on my next stay. There was one night when my power went out but it was as easy as finding one of the beautiful staff, Gee, and he put more credit on the electricity and I was back in action. He is such a lovely young man and I loved chatting with him. I will happily be returning to Alam Cottage on my next trip to Uluwatu.

Property staff were very accommodating and kind. Location was perfect. Quiet enough. They had a whole menu of drinks and food available for free delivery.

− I’m not sure why they provided a used sponge for cleaning dishes. I thought that was kind of gross. And shower was strange. The only way to shower was by using a hand held hose with shower head. But water pressure was great.
