Highly recommended! We had an amazing stay at Ohana Resort, and first and foremost, it was thanks to Matt, his wife, and their wonderful team. From the very first moment, they never stopped smiling, making us feel welcome, and doing everything they could to ensure our stay was comfortable, clean, and enjoyable. The villa was spotless and well organized, and the large, beautiful swimming pool was exceptionally well maintained and clean. The resort itself is gorgeous and beautifully landscaped, with plenty of greenery that makes you feel surrounded by nature. The location is excellent—fairly central and close to everything, yet still peaceful and quiet. In short, it’s the perfect place for either a long or short stay in Siargao. We highly recommend it! One more thing worth mentioning: the Wi-Fi is relatively good for the island, and there is a generator in case of power outages, which happen quite frequently in Siargao. These are two very important bonuses that made our stay even better.

Beds are very comfortable. Rooms are spacious. Outdoor kitchen areas helped us save money on eating with a large family. Staff was very accommodating.

Nice location and clean rooms

− Airconditioning did not function properly. They booked us an airport transfer for a fixed price, but the driver asked for 500 pesos more on our way to the airport.

The staff was nice, the pool was okay and the location is good.

− Pretty much everything else. The room was very run-down and looked nothing like the photos. It lacks even the most basic of necessities, like soap or a hair dryer. No wardrobe either. They keep a bunch of dogs on the premises of the resort, and they kept going through our garbage and making a huge mess at the outside the kitchen. Electricity would go out every day and their generator wasn't working properly. The place is barely kept together and needs some serious work to be put back to its original state.

− We are very disappointed with our stay and unfortunately cannot recommend this accommodation based on our experience. Our most expensive stay in the Philippines, you expect a lot more. From the moment we arrived, the service fell far below expectations. The staff appeared disengaged, frequently spending time on their phones or watching TikTok videos with loud music playing, even in guest areas. The manager in particular showed little interest in assisting guests, responded indifferently to concerns, and often provided inconsistent information. Several issues significantly impacted our stay: - The WiFi was extremely poor and unreliable. - The room was not clean; after walking briefly, our feet became visibly dirty, indicating that the floors were not properly cleaned. - The towels were of very poor quality and did not dry properly. - Our laundry was left unattended for two days and was never sent to the laundry service, without any apology or acknowledgment. - We were promised a scooter at check-in, but it was not available. Even the following morning at the agreed time, it was still unavailable. Only after repeated follow-ups was a scooter provided much later. - Breakfast information was inconsistent. We were told it would be available from 7:00 AM, yet no staff was present at that time. On another day, we were informed breakfast only started at 8:00 AM. Clear and consistent communication is essential. - Music at the pool was played excessively loud by staff, regardless of guest presence. - The swimming pool was dirty, with visible green residue on the walls and floor. Additionally, the water level appeared too low for proper circulation. - Soft drinks were overpriced. - Curtains on the sliding doors were too thin and did not block light effectively. - During our 3-day stay, no cleaning service was offered. Trash bins were not emptied and began to smell, and no fresh towels were provided.

This place is wonderful and the staff is very sweet. It is a nice change from a lot of 5 star places in Europe where the staff is often snooty. Anilyn our receptionist was a total superstar and took care of us with great care and service from the heart.
