A comfortable waterfront stay that captures the authentic spirit of Bastimentos and island life
8.0Hotel Caribbean View was one of the better places I stayed during my visit to Bastimentos. The location is excellent, with the water taxi dropping you off right at the property, making arrival and departure very convenient. The room was comfortable and spacious enough for two people sharing accommodations. I especially appreciated having a reliable hot shower after long days exploring the islands. The air conditioning worked well and helped make the room comfortable. Wi-Fi was dependable throughout my stay, which was important for staying connected and handling phone calls. The common and lobby areas were clean, inviting, and provided a nice space for private conversations when sharing a room with a travel companion. One thing visitors should know is that this is an authentic Caribbean neighborhood. The local music starts early in the morning, often around 7:00 a.m., which is part of the culture and atmosphere of Bastimentos. For travelers who appreciate local life, this adds to the experience rather than detracts from it. The only challenge during my stay was mosquitoes in the room. They seemed impossible to spot, but they definitely found me! Fortunately, the air conditioning helped somewhat. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend Hotel Caribbean View to travelers looking for a comfortable, well-located place to experience the authentic character of Bastimentos. #CarmenGoesCoastal 🌴🇵🇦
− Mosquitoes were active during my stay, so I recommend bringing insect repellent. Early morning neighborhood music may not be ideal for light sleepers, although it is part of the authentic Caribbean atmosphere.
