Samantha and Marko were excellent hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed and more, and treated us like family
10.0The property was well maintained and beautiful. Fresh fruit grows right on the property and monkeys, porcupines, sloths and more can be found exploring the grounds at night. If you appreciate biodiversity and a comfy stay, this is an excellent spot.

Jungle Wildlife Garden
8.0Samantha and family gave me a very warm welcome including a tour of their jungle garden and even a fresh cacao pod and coffee bean to try. I was shown monkeys, squirrels, agouti, porcupine, bamboo rats, tarantulas and leafcutter ants - all in the garden! The room was a triple with separate lounge and ensuite, so huge and luxurious. Warm water in the shower. Breakfast was traditional Amazon juane and coffee.
− Where the walls meet the ceiling it turns into insect screen, which makes the room fresh yet lacking in privacy. Conversations from another room feel like they are happening in your room. I was the only guest, and when I turned up to no knowledge of my booking it made me feel an intruder in a family home. The hosts were attentive and knocked the door occasionally, which can be positive unless you are an anxious traveller like me. On reflection I prefer the anonymity of larger hostels.

10.0We stayed at Coco’s for two nights on our backpacking trip. It is not inconveniently far out of town and is situated beautifully right on the Tambopata river, with nature all around. Beyond the clean and comfortable rooms, well organized tour opportunities (our tour to Sandoval oxbow lake was great!) and a peaceful atmosphere, the very best part of our stay were our wonderful hosts: Samantha, Marco and Coco! They were amazingly attentive, helpful and warm at every stage. Generosity was their default, and they shared with us of their locally grown fruits, knowledge and culture. They even invited us to join local festivities. We recommend Coco’s strongly to anyone interested in exploring the Puerto Maldonado area!

Host was like family
10.0Wonderful location just outside Tambopata national park filled with wildlife. Host was absolutely amazing looked after us like family. Gave us different breakfasts every day and drove us to places at a cheaper cost than outside. No mosquito nets were needed as the top of the room was netted where insects could get in. Peaceful location in front of the river.
