great location, would benefit from some more equipment being available

well located in central Ashbourne, making the shops, pubs, take-aways etc. a very easy walk. However, the house is very quiet as it is located on a side road. The majority of neighbours appear to be elderly and therefore there is little noise from them. The other half of the semi had various guests during our stay, often for a single night, but we never heard them. Dedicated parking is immediately outside of the property. The property appears to be newly decorated and everything is fresh and welcoming. The bathroom is smart, with a good shower. The garden is small but well shaded and with nice furniture, making sitting outside pleasant. We had a small niggle with a window (just one of those things) which was quickly addressed by a neighbour sent in by the owner i.e. there was someone on call who could respond quickly should the need arise. The owner was keen to 'reach out' and keep in touch.

the property is a semi-detached bungalow, describing it as 'a beautiful cottage' is marketing speak. However, it is clear from the photos what you are getting. If there was an issue it would be around the supplied facilities e.g 1) it is a well insulated property (making it ideal as a winter rental) but as we experienced a heat wave it did get very warm. Fortunately we had taken our own cooling fans as none were supplied. It would have been unbearable without 2) the kitchen is equipped for cooks who wish to make simple and quick meals (especially ready meals), it is not equipped for anyone a bit more ambitious 3) whilst there is a washing machine for your clothes, we could not find anything to dry them on so we didn't use it. We don't know how long this property has been let by the current owner, but as we too let property we can understand the situation they find themselves in - how do you meet everyone’s needs without going over board on 'kit'? The only solution we found was a) listen to customer feedback and b) live in the property yourself for a week and treat it as home, making full use of the kitchen to make meals. Any missing items will soon become apparent.

Great location for town and nice and clean

8.0

The location for Ashbourne town centre was excellent. Accommodation was very good nice and clean

The drive way was a bit of a challenge but not a deal breaker. The main beds mattress would benefit from having a topper added found it a bit lumpy. Shower might have benefited from having a door for less water splashing and a couple of shelves to put stuff on.

This apartment was genuinely an extraordinarily wonderful surprise. It really exceeded my expectations. It had absolutely everything I needed. The fridge and freezer, especially in this hot weather, the bed was incredibly comfortable. The living area, lovely. And even a lovely garden to sit out in. A beautifully appointed property.
