Review NOT for Holt house, we were swapped accommodation due to repairs needed on this home

Great communication from the host, they did their best to accommodate our large party after Holt house was no longer available (the day before our holiday) due to a water leak, we were refunded some money as compensation, the location of home was in an area where we could get to and from to different areas, large shopping centre very close, beautiful beaches, home was big and spacious for a large party of 7, mattresses were comfortable, milk was in the fridge when we arrived after a long journey, having 2 washing machines came in handy, and a tumble dryer was a god send for us. Lots of bathrooms

− The home needed a lot of repairs (again this was NOT Holt house), broken bed, no anti slam on doors (on more than one occasion fingers were nearly lost), banister broken, curtains missing, ceiling rose started to fall down and pieces were falling, extractor fans working in only some rooms (yes we did turn them on on the switch) drain pipes broken and water floods out, pipes outside broken so shower floods court yard, other residents use the out side bin so know where to put rubbish, home was dirty from cob webs, to filthy floor and smelly carpets it was noted the living room smelt like cigarette smoke, local druggies use the boarded up house next door at night to sit on front step to do drugs and drink beer, Japanese knot weed growing out the front of building, kitchen floor has some issues as it's bowing, cellar door covered in black mold, one of the washing machines leaked, one bathroom missing door handle,

on the whole our stay was good, If I contacted the host the small problems would have been resolved

This is a large property which housed two families easily, having bathrooms for all the bedrooms made it easier for us all to get ready together. It is well equipped It is close to the shops and town centre

− There is no outdoor area for the children to play when we were in the property, but as we were out most of our stay it wasn't such a problem Some of the bedrooms didn't have curtains but we used the bed runner to block the light out of the front bedroom, the other rooms were not overlooked so it wasn't such a big problem.
