− There was no toilet or shower , and the toilets are not near to the pod , not good for my young child , when I was booking it was not made clear enough that there was no toilet or shower , if did say then it needs to be in bold letters as I thought they were all the same pods so more notification is needed , I would not have booked this pod had I known there were no facilities in side it
Nice weekend getaway!
8.0Beautiful campsite, with nice views, plenty of space for kids to run around, lovely big swing park, great views and good shower facilities. Good base, Close to Alton towers, and the lovely village of Ashbourne 5min drive away.
− Shop could have been open a bit later, beds in teepees weren't the comfiest and probably wasn't worth £120 a night.

9.0We stayed in the camping pod with private toilet. The campsite itself is so quiet and lovely. Great location about 25 minutes from Alton towers. Really nice walks all around. We met lots of other families there and all the children played so happily in the park. The park is great for kids. The campsite itself is spotless. Lots of bins to put away rubbish. We didn’t use any other facilities. I’ve read reviews that say there was no hot water - our water was piping hot - no issues.
− Our camping pod was quite dusty when we arrived. Suspected the floors hadn’t been done well when we arrived. There was a sweeping brush there so I gave it a quick sweep. We arrived at 4:50pm and all the facilities like the shop and pool closed at 5pm. We didn’t see a staff member apart from that initial check in. We were busy during our two days and then check out around 8am. On booking.com it says there are hair dryers on site. I couldn’t find a hair dryer anywhere. So just a word of warning!
