Bad and NOT at all recommended!
3.0Nothing much to like about considering the exorbitant value
− Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! We had the worst experience at this property. We were fleeced right through our noses. We were charged 3x the price of what others were charged. Do not book this property on booking.com. This is a 2-star property charging 4-star prices for its rooms. And this price gap was not about booking in the high-demand season. The pain in the rooms is peeling off, the curtains are old and smelly, and the bathroom is basic, to say the least. Which is all okay if they were charging the appropriate price. But for the prices charged, it is daylight robbery. The resort manager was rude, and charged us extra for the cruise. The cruise was not worth it either, coming to Sunderbans to see two tigers in a zoo was not exactly our idea of a holiday to the Sunderban Tiger Reserve. Worst of all, there seems to be an unholy nexus between the local hotel management and the boatmen / ferry owners. There was not standard price list declared for the safaris and the amounts charged were both HIGH and RANDOM lending our minds to a clear doubt that something was AMISS and there seemed to be some sort of a hidden deal between the two. We were charged a total of 21k INR for the pickup, safari and drop for a standard fare that others were charging less than 5k INR. They did this almost when tourists like us have no other resort having made the long and arduous trek all the way from South India to the mangrove forests of Sunderbans. Properties like this must be exposed since they give Indian tourism a bad name.
