Lovely place in an excellent location, near to the old town and marina.

There was everything one could need in the kitchen. A full size fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, hob and oven. Not that I cooked during this stay.

− Just a couple of niggly things. A flashing light in the bathroom, dead batteries in one of the tv remotes and recurrence of small dead flies appearing on the hob. They seemed to be coming from the extractor? The bed was too firm for us, but we used the supplied quilt as a mattress topper which did the trick.

Lovely modern interior, Beautiful small courtyard with raised seating area and table and chares on lower level. Smart TV, washing machine, coffee machine. Good modern secure door. Bedroom facing street has a metal blind to keep light out and improve security. Nice modern toilet and shower room with walk-in monsoon shower

− All in all we really enjoyed the property but here are some more minor issues to be aware of. Not something the owners can change but worth knowing for those renting, we were there in april and the sun does hit the seating area from around 10.30 to 14.00 then continues on parts of the lower level until around 16.30 but not all the areas due to the high walls. We didnt find it a big issue but we do like to sit in the sun in the early morning to sip coffee and admire the surroundings and if that's what you are looking for as we were there are a number of cafe's within 2 mins walk with beautiful sitting areas and views to get coffee and breakfast but they dont open till after 10. Inside the apartment an observation is that the monsoon shower head means the water flow really struggles to fill the head and give a decent flow to shower in (looks nice though...). I did alter the angle to direct the flow slightly further away from the taps and the water only flowed out of the bottom half of the head due to the flow rate. Another thing the flat could benefit from is a safe to give confidence for your valuables while you visit. Although not the fault of the accommodation owner this unit is a ground floor of a 2 unit building with a unit above. The access door from the street leads to an inner area where the stairs go up to the apartment above and you walk straight forward for the door to Casa Pateo, unfortunately the family above leave what appears to be every pair of shoes the family owns (parents and kids) on the stairs up which presented a quite distinct smell in the entrance hall. Easily resolved if the owner discussed this with the upstairs owner, even with a can of shoe deoderant. Also the family were up each morning at 07.45 and with the usual bustle of getting everyone ready there was quite a bit of noise above until 08.30 when they left for the day

− El papel higiénico fue escaso para los días que estuve. Dejar un rollo más estaría bien...

De accommodatie was gelegen in een fijne buurt, erg dicht bij het strand en het centrum van Oud Albufeira was op korte afstand van lopen. Er zit ook een erg fijne supermarkt dichtbij. De keuken is van van alles voorzien en er is een wasmachine wat erg fijn was! Het is een erg moderne en schone accommodatie met fijne airconditioning en een leuk buitenterras.

− De wifi was buitengewoon slecht. 20MBps aan internetsnelheid kan in onze ogen tegenwoordig echt niet. Wanneer je met meer dan 1 apparaat gebruikmaakt van de Wifi kelderde de snelheid naar 1 MBps waardoor de meest simpele dingen zoals iets opzoeken op internet een uitdaging was. In de slaapkamer is er amper/geen wifi verbinding en door het slechte mobiele bereik in de accommodatie/buurt kun je ook niet het mobiele netwerk gebruiken. Er worden geen schone handdoeken geleverd tenzij je hier naar vraagt. We hebben eenmalig nieuwe handdoeken gekregen, dit terwijl de gastheer via de chat had beloofd dit meerdere keren om te wisselen. Ook faciliteiten zoals toilet papier en vuilniszakken zijn minder goed geregeld. We verbleven een week in deze accommodatie en hebben zelf nieuw toiletpapier en vuilniszakken moeten kopen. De douche was vanwege de lage waterdruk ook minder fijn dan verwacht.

Loved the property — chic and beautifully decorated. The host was very kind; when the address on Booking led me slightly off, he personally came to meet me. The location is ideal: peaceful and quiet at night, yet still within walking distance of the beach, old town, and plenty of restaurants.
