9.0Its stunning! The architecture is outstanding and the rooms are decorated with lots of love. The food is one of the best of La Punta (both breakfast & dinner) and the staff is so lovely! Special shoutout to Manuel!
− Its really close to the main road and the doors are not isolated: this means you will hear the music from the main street. Fortunately we had good earplugs but without them I wouldnt know what to do.

6.0The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and the hotel was impressively clean throughout. Food and drink service was excellent, and breakfast was a highlight—delicious and served in a charming ground-floor garden setting. The room itself was stylish with a modern, minimalist design; though, a few softer touches could make it feel more comfortable and inviting.
− Unfortunately, the noise levels in the room made it nearly impossible to rest. Despite using earplugs, I was constantly disturbed by barking dogs, motorbikes, and passing trucks. The open architectural design of the hotel leaves it fully exposed to external noise, with no soundproofing in place. To make matters worse, on the second morning of my stay, loud maintenance work began just outside my room at 6:10 a.m.—a clear oversight in guest consideration. It's disappointing because this hotel has real potential, but until the noise issue is addressed, I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending Hotel Xique to friends or family. From reading other reviews, it seems this is a recurring issue. I truly hope the team finds a solution—this place could be something special.

− The hotel is in a very noisy area and the rooms are not sealed so there is no quiet. We should have done a bit more research in to Puerto Escondido as it wasn’t really our scene but that’s no the fault of the hotel.
