Overall we enjoyed our stay, thanks to Alba and Stella!! We hope to be back again in the future!

We stayed in the Villa TreA- Alba loft. All I can say is that it exceeded our expectations! After receiving confirmation of the stay, we were contacted by someone providing us with information about the stay and offering assistance with private airport transportation and for booking excursions. The service manager Stella helped us book the private transportation and a couple excursions. The tour of mount etna and wine was awesome and worth every penny. Stella responded quickly and was available throughout the trip. The coordination made planning much easier for us as first timers in Italy. Alba the owner and host was so kind and welcoming, we couldn’t have asked for a better host. Upon arrival she greeted us at the front gate and showed us everything we needed to know about the apartment. She went over the rules and instructions thoroughly. Throughout the trip she offered recommendations, checked up on us often, made sure the jacuzzi was maintained and ready for use, and provided assistance with reservations. She even surprised us with a sweet treat to welcome us into her home. Her and her family live downstairs so whenever we had a question or needed help, she was right there to assist. They definitely take privacy very seriously and only provide maintenance when we were not there and let us know. I loved how well they take care of their home, they keep the outdoor area maintained with fresh flowers. The loft had great views from the balconies. One side had a view of Mount Etna and the other balcony had a beautiful view of the city and ocean. If you want an authentic experience, Mascali is a perfect location. We also visited Toarmina, Mount Etna, and Catania using the train and private transportation. With a car it would be even more accessible to visit the more touristy areas. Mascali has some amazing restaurants and cafes with people that are always willing to help make sure you get what you wanted.

− Nothing negative to say about the place at all. We didn’t rent a vehicle but I would definitely recommend it, there is plenty of parking space near the home. Without a vehicle you have to reserve private transportation as there are none in this area (Stella gave us contact for local taxi) or you can use the train. I would download the Trenitalia app to purchase train tickets beforehand. Even without a car it was still a great experience and doable if you don’t mind walking. The train station was 20 minutes walking, the grocery store was 12 minutes walking , our favorite cafe was only 6 minutes walking, and the beach area was 25 minutes walking.

Outdoor was great, the garden and hottubwas nice

− Apartment is outdated and needs renovations. Beds are really uncomfortable and the worst thing was air conditioning that did nothing in apartment so it was impossible to sleep during the hot August nights. If you dont have a car, it will be problem for you because apartment is far for everything. Trough the all week stay no one come to clean or change towels or bedsheets and there wasnt even any mop or vacuum cleaner for us to do it ourselves.

It was a fabulous apartment, with fantastic facilities and wonderful views of Mount Etna!
