Convenient and spacious apartment in the heart of Civitavecchia. Close to the cruise terminal.
9.0There was a basic breakfast provided—cereal, packaged toasts, bread and jam, and juice boxes. It wasn’t anything special but it was nice to have it. The coffee machine made tasty coffee. The host was very friendly and communicated clear check-in instructions but not until the morning of arrival. It would have been better to get them the night before. The location was convenient to the cruise terminal. The apartment was spacious, well-lit (with interior lighting though not much natural lighting) and it was generally clean and well-kept up. Overall it was a good value.
− The apartment location itself was in a run-down area, and the entrance was an old door and it seemed like we were entering a warehouse. It was not a particularly attractive area or street although it was convenient to most sights. There were air conditioners in the living room and both bedrooms, and they worked okay for the most part, but the one in the living area was not cooling very well.( To be fair, it was a very hot day—99 degrees). There were no toiletries provided except for a large retail-sized bottle of body wash in the tiny shower, so I suggest you bring your own. One suggestion to the host: It would be nice to have hooks or towel racks for the towels and some extra towels as there was only one set per person.
