Serious safety incident during our stay

− During our stay, an intruder entered the apartment through the kitchen window while we were inside and stole cash and my passport. The property was described as safe, with security, high fences, and an electric fence. After the incident, we were informed that the electric fence had not been functioning. This information was never communicated to us beforehand. What was particularly concerning is that after the incident, other guests staying on the property were not informed or warned to be more cautious. Life continued as usual, with windows left open at night, which felt very unsafe given what had just happened. After the theft, the host told us that the passport would be returned. It was later brought to the police, which was unexpected and did not reduce how frightening and serious the situation was for us. This was a very distressing experience, and we did not feel safe. The incident has been reported to Booking.com. I strongly recommend future guests to carefully consider the safety situation before booking.

Mycket stor lägenhet med 2st toaletter. Fullt kök med allt du behöver. Superfin inredning. Lyxigt boende. Flera restaurang ca 1 min promenad. Finaste stranden 2 min promenad. Värdinnan är supertrevlig och hjälpte med allt. Bättre än så här går inte att bo.

− Att man måste åka hem efter en vecka till jobbet. Drömmer om att få stanna flera månader.....

Wonderful stay

We could not be more satisfied with our stay at Bantu Home. My family stayed there over the Christmas holidays (25/26), and everything exceeded our expectations. The two-bedroom apartment was spotless, very comfortable, and well equipped with all the amenities we needed as foreign visitors, whenever electricity was available. The property is very well located, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach, which was a real plus. The owner was extremely helpful, always reachable, and very responsive. When we requested a power plug adapter, it arrived within five minutes. We were also proactively informed about power cuts, which are quite common on the island — a level of communication we truly appreciated. The concierge was always around, very friendly, and ready to help whenever needed. They even fixed the squeaking doors after the first night, which really showed their attention to detail. The cleaning lady also went above and beyond to assist us and made our stay even more pleasant. Overall, an excellent experience. We would absolutely recommend Bantu Home and would not hesitate to stay there again.
