Property for sale, not a comfortable holiday house

Very close to Metung Hot Springs, easy 5min walk. Very spacious 4 decent size bedrooms, 2 bath rooms and 2 toilets. Large kitchen, walk in pantry, comfortable size living area and the garage made into in games room with table tennis and pool table. 3 TVs in the house.

− Not a very comfortable house to relax in eg. Picnic bench outdoors for eating, no proper comfortable lounge to chill outside. Games room had terrible substandard equipment- broken balls and bats, poor lighting, echoey and cold. Kitchen - no foil, glad wrap or baking paper. No coffee plunger or tea strainer. Was given 4 tiny sachets of dish washing Detergent for a 5 day stay. Nespresso machine - no pods supplied. Sink - 2 tea towels and 1 chuck and watered down (embarrassing) dish liquid provided. No hair dryer. 1 split system in the living/kitchen area. No heating/cooling in all the bedrooms. No electric blankets for cold nights. Bedrooms further away from the living room gets super cold in winter, probably hot in summer. This house is on the market to sell hence isnt fitted out for enjoyment. Very NOISY dryer. We didn't dare try the washing machine. The dishwasher made our dirty plates dirtier on the 1st night as it was blocked so we had to rewash them with the watered down dish liquid. Not fully fenced so not pet friendly in the yard.

− No hot water of a evening had to use kettle for kids bath Both bathroom lights need replacing they are faulty Washing machine is not spinning correctly

A great stay at a great location, would recommend!

Location was perfect, so close to the hot springs and a beautiful km or so walk into town. The house is basically brand new and is very tidy. It had almost everything we needed to cook our own meals at home. We would 100% stay again.

Clean, tidy and spacious.

− The hot water runs out very quickly. The washing machine is not easy to use, it took a few goes to work out what settings to use just to get a load to finish, as it kept stopping and beeping for no reason that I could see. The driveway is very steep, which could be difficult for anybody of low mobility, which one of our party is a person of low mobility. And packet of marshmallows had been left in the cupboard which had attracted a lot of ants.

Nice billabong walk nearby. Could ride into main part of town or just walk down to water.. Bright, airy accommodation. Bedrooms good. Clean bedding. Beds comfy enough and bedrooms generally good. Showers clean and good standard. Good place for our dog although no secure fencing (we'd been told this).

− Out the back was very messy on arrival. We had to sweep up dry grass and put rubbish including dirty nappy into bin. Outside bins overloaded and smelly but when I called next business day, attitude was helpful and someone was already out and about collecting jt. Couches not comfortable and floor under them was very dirty (we dropped something so.happened to look under both couches and noted unswept floor). Fridge stank of fish. Firepit chairs too dirty to sit on. BBQ drip tray too small for the job and had to be emptied before using. Glasses were dirty and dishwasher didn't seem to clean properly. Screen in sliding door open and let mozzies and flies in.

We all had a great time at Sam's house and the Metung region.

The Location of Sam's house was great. We could easily walk to the Metung Hot Springs. We had a great day there, very impressed.
