Gorgeous boutique retreat, lovely hosts, we would stay there again.
10.0The Gate keepers cottage is gorgeous. A perfect retreat. Surrounded by gardens and bush makes it a beautiful spot with lots of bird songs to listen to. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. A 5 minute drive to Akaroa town. A bit too far to walk. The continental breakfast provided was perfect. I would recommend staying here.
− Only thing it s a bit far to walk to town. The vineyard offered a shuttle to pick up and drop off for dinner so that solved that problem.
Great spot off the main roads
9.0I loved the amazing bird song when we stepped out if the car, close enough to town to walk but far enough to be well away from it all.
− We couldn't figure out the TV, but hey.....we didn't need it

10.0Gardens were beautiful. Cottage was lovely with the loft rooms. So quaint. Fruits and flowers from the garden in the room. A real gem.

9.0Loved the vibe of the unit, classic country manor house vibe. Unit had separate living room on main level with access to private court yard. Location perfect distance to downtown Akaroa, with lovely views of the surrounding hills. Mature gardens with plenty of native birds, even a NZ Pigeon was spotted. Cute pond with a very old goldfish enjoying life.

10.0Sehr hilfsbereites Personal, mit Wandervorschlägen. Tolle Lage in der Natur etwas ausserhalb von Akaroa. Ohne Fahrzeug und mit Gepäck kann das mühsam sein.
