Cabin with Character♡

Never again will I rent from "Cabin with Character". I have photos for evidence.

If there was a lower rating I could give to this establishment, I would! This "cabin" was attached to the main outdoor bathroom, so really the only cabin part, if you could call it that, was the back plastic deck, which was stuck in trees. It had rained on and off, and there was no awning or roof to sit under, to enjoy the outdoors. Never once did we see or hear from "Tammy" the host. We walked into the space and instantly saw how filthy the rental was. Starting at the front door, it was obvious it hadn't been cleaned for months. There were HUGE river rock to walk on led you down a tiny path back behind the public bathroom, to get to the "cabin". I twisted my ankle carrying our belongs to the cabin. When I opened the door, the area rug that was in the middle of the 1 room space we rented was so dirty, with stains on the area rug. Also, there were heavy blankets on both recliners, so I went to look for a sheet or something to lay across the chair, because of the heat. When I pulled off the blanket that hung on the recliner, I was appalled at what I saw. The chair was originally leather brown, but was white due to so much wear and tear, with scratches and missing material under the blanket. I went to the one closet to retrieve a sheet, and the entire closet smelled like dog. I pulled a sheet from a container, and put it on the battered chair. There was no kitchen, but a rusty microwave and coffee pot that looked like they never cleaned it. There were used mouse traps in one of the drawers that was a part of the cracked wooden countertop; the silverware that was there was in a zippered dress bag in one drawer. There were also 5 dead bugs that were laying at the bottom ledges of the windows.) I have evidence for reference. Also, in the bathroom medicine cabinet, there with other people's stuff in it (clippers, deodorant, razors, hair care items, etc.

− I commented about a lot of issues that "Cabin with Character" has, in the above question. I can add: 1. the walkway was so difficult to walk upon 2. the smell of dog was in the pillows of the Murphy bed that I slept on, along with the futon bed that my sister slept on. Had I known there would not be an official "bed" to sleep on, I would have canceled this reservation.

Near where we wanted /needed to be - location wise. Tammy was very commicative and responsive. Looked cute. Loved being able to have breakfast on the patio.

− We didn't have wifi the first night because we didn't know that you HAD to leave the cabin to "Find" their wifi fitst before entering the password - their wifi couldn't be found because the cabin had a metal roof. Same things with the TV - couldnt connect / find any channels. Then the 3rd night, the WIFi totally went out. The toilet wasn't attached to the floor and every time you went to wipe, we were worried about breaking the toilet - a wobbly toilet. My husband slept in the lounging chair for 2 1/2 nights - said that it was more comfortable then either of the beds (a murphy bed and a sectional couch with a bedsheet over it.

Loved the location and the peace and quiet. It was nice to have a gas grill to cook. The view was beautiful, even this time of year. Great communication from the property. Room had everything we needed. We would love to stay again!

− Mattress was a little rougher than I would have preferred. But that is really all just a personal preference.

I received a personal call after making the reservation. It was to confirm what I requested regarding our stay. Super relaxing & quiet location. But it is an easy & convenient ride to town. Anything addional requested i needed was just a phone call away.

− Can't say any in our group had a complaint. We had more than what we needed.
