The environment is clean, natural and quiet for residential considerations. The staff are accommodating and always ready to help. Most important is that it is very accessible; just a minute stroll from the main street. The backup energy system and internet are amazing too. I loved it!!

I appreciate the simplicity of the place; it’s a spot where you can enjoy your own company and still feel content.

The property is self catering and it is in a good location where you can buy groceries and bread only a few yards away. There is a supermarket about 10 to 12 mins walk away, to get any and everything. The local Funkia market is just outside the supermarket. The location is also good because despite, the villa being very privately hidden and quiet, you can walk to the junction and get any type of transport you need. It is a very popular area and is central to town . You do not need a car. Although, if you prefer to drive, it is also good as there is private parking available in the villa' s grounds if required. The accommodation is like home, y I u have everything you need. If light goes off, the care taker will switch the system to solar straight away. I love getting up in the morning, it's nice and fresh (air conditioner is in open). The villa is so private and beautiful and no bothering from anyone. I went about my day, and always looked forward to get back and relax. My family 👪 visited me and we enjoyed ourselves. There is wifi that I use to watch Netflix and other movies. I watched YouTube and news channels. There are pots and and utensils to cook and fridge freezer for chill drinks. Microwave and cooker in the villa also. The host is very friendly and reliable. He goes out of his way to support if needed. The care taker is also easy to deal with. The whole set up is well organized and orderly which I liked👍. I will stay here again when I visit Freetown, as my experience was very good.

Great villa in Freetown

Amazing villa in Freetown. It’s not far from Lumley beach close to the main road where it is easy to get a Keke or mototáxi. Derek was very easy to reach and Sorie who was on the property was extremely helpful during our stay. There is also back up solar power which is good for the frequent power cuts in Freetown. Would definitely stay here again!

Peaceful oasis that feels far from the madding crowd.

In a world where nearly everything and everyone is fake ( like my 6 year old son says’ just because it’s written on the box doesn’t mean it’s in the box…some people cheat…’ ) , our experience here was like a cool breeze to your face on a particularly hot and humid day. This property is what it says it is..but somehow so much more..; it’s clean, has all the amenities any reasonable person would need for daily life ( my son binged on Netflix, I enjoyed the quiet..although it’s a stone throw from a main street, there was peace and quiet within these walls..I enjoyed nature- the potato leaves and cassava leaves growing in the yard.., also, impressively, pineapples- I actually had some of the cassava leaves plucked , ground and packaged and frozen..- shall be cooking that on special occasions here 😋, I enjoyed feeling safe - caretaker during the day, security guard at night..but still feeling like my privacy wasn’t being infringed upon, pretty much 24 hour electricity, running water- basics that are not to be taken for granted in Freetown. In the less than 2 weeks we spent in Freetown, this, felt like home..)…Now to my experience of/with the host - Derek adds value to this property even without actually being there - an extraordinarily gracious host who treats people with kindness, thoughtfulness and respect..even when they’re undeserving…speaks volumes for his character- he offered us an early check in -as early as a day before!!, and a laaate check out…without us asking…and that at no extra cost…just so.. I’d say whoever raised him to become the person he’s become ought to give themselves a pat on the back for a job well done. Many thanks, Derek!! ( and to you, reading this review, no, I don’t know Derek, we’ve never met and I’m not known for being overly generous with my reviews- you should check my review of Country Lodge..; a slaughter house…🫤)

− The drainage in the showers is a tad slow and a secound set of bath towels would have been nice
