8.0I liked the location, 10 minutes from the town of Port Antonio, 10 minutes from the Blue Lagoon and a stone throw away from some of the best beaches on the island. The grounds of the hotel is well kept and also the building with that unique historic look.
− The TV channels never worked smoothly for the entirety of our 3 night stay. On the first day the wifi was ok, but from day 2 it kept saying connected without internet. The internet issue was highlighted to management but it was never fixed, I had to purchase data for my entire family. The room also needs more power outlets.
Worst hotel room I've ever seen

− Old and outdated furniture and decor. Bathroom was deplorable. Rooms were tacky and poorly decorated. I could not sleep there, so I checked out immediately. Absolutely horrible.
Experience could be much better
7.0The big size of the room, overall design of the palace, swimming pool, reliable WiFi, vegetation and flowers. My top recommendation if you're seeking tranquility.
− We didn't feel the staff friendly, motivated or enthusiastic enough. Hard to find any authentic Jamaican food on the menu, plus overall very pricey. Also, just 1 or 2 sockets available to plug devices.

− The tile floors in the bedroom and low beds. I think the rooms could be a bit more charming. Too basic for such a grand entrance.

− Lack of air conditioning in common areas. Lack of engagement of the restaurant staff.
