La posizione decentrata e con affaccio sulle colline è molto piacevole per stare tranquilli. La camera da letto ricavata nella vecchia cantina con muri di pietra a vista è una scelta sicuramente suggestiva, ma...

− ...all'atto pratico la camera da letto rimane un po' scomoda, tra spazi angusti e letto duro. Scomodità aggravata dal fatto che la zona notte è separata dalla zona giorno su due piani diversi (per passare da una zona all'altra bisogna uscire di casa e passare per strada). Il bagno principale è chiuso ma situato sul terrazzo, aprire la porta comporta essere visti dal vicinato. Il parcheggio è problematico, i vicoli sono strettissimi e spesso a doppio senso.

Ήταν πλήρως εξοπλισμένο με όλα τα είδη κουζίνας και μπάνιου, είχε πλυντήριο και στεγνωτήριο. Καλό ίντερνετ και άμεση απάντηση από τον οικοδεσπότη. Μπαλκόνι με ωραία θέα και ησυχία.

− Το οίκημα αποτελείται από ξεχωριστά μέρη. Στο πάνω μέρος είναι ένα σαλόνι-κουζίνα και σε εξωτερικό χώρο το μπάνιο. Το υπνοδωμάτιο είναι στο υπόγειο με πρόσβαση εκτός του βασικού χώρου του οικήματος, δηλαδή έχει άλλη είσοδο από την πλευρά του δρόμου. Τα παραπάνω δεν αναγράφονται στις πληροφορίες. Αρνητική επίσης η μυρωδιά της αποχέτευσης στο βασικό μπάνιο .

It took some time but I got used to the place in this quiet village close to Siteia.

The place was well equipped, I did not even have to buy a cleaning cloth (a seven night stay). There were some provisions upon arrival, like water and fruit, salt and pepper, tea and coffee. Devices to deter mosquitos were well provided. The double bed was very comfortable. The air-con worked very well. The wi-fi was excellent (I had work to do). The owner sent helpful advice about places to visit and names of tavernas, and was very friendly and sweet. The village is super quiet and the view to the mountain from the balcony and roof terrace is beautiful. It is an eight minute drive to Sitea and to its lovely beach. Everywhere there are olive groves, making the valley so green. This is an authentic, unspoilt part of Crete.

− The description does not state that to reach the bedroom you have to leave the house, walk a bit down the lane, and through a locked gate you go down stairs to reach it. I found this very inconvenient. I did not use the roof terrace as the spiral stairs to it were steep. The village lanes are very narrow and it was hard, at times, to find parking. I phoned the owner when the stove top did not work. She told me to lift the switch in the mains box. Similarly, you have to switch on the water boiler to get hot water, and remember to switch it off. It would help if there were instructions in the kitchen.
