Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt und können diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich herzlich und sorgen dafür, dass man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Die Ferienwohnung ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, sehr gemütlich und bestens ausgestattet – es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Das gesamte Schwarzwaldhaus mit seiner wunderschönen Außenanlage und dem gemütlichen Gemeinschaftsraum lädt zum Entspannen und Wohlfühlen ein. Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen und kommen gerne wieder!

Super ausgestattete Küche mit Spülmaschine, Senseo-Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, Wasserkocher und viel Geschirr, gemütliches Bett, schöner Balkon, Liegen im Garten und Sitzmöglichkeiten vor dem Haus, super Lage in der Nähe vom Holzer Kreuz. Absolut zu empfehlen 😄.

− Die Matratze federte für mich bei längerem Liegen etwas zu wenig, so dass mein Rücken ab und zu etwas "meckerte", aber generell war das schöne Bett sehr bequem.

Friendly and in tune with the landscape

The host family went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We came by public transportation and they helped us overcome the remaining 2.5 km uphill by driving us. The family also has four adorable cows whose only task in life is to graze the meadow. The views of the cultural landscape around are just stunning! No wonder Fröhnd became Germany's Village of the Year. The host and her husband live in the same part of the 300-year-old house, just above some of the rooms, so you don't get the privacy of a hotel and realize you are kinda staying with the family. Then again, they can be easily contacted for help, like when we forgot an ingredient for our meal. What I do appreciate is they took a gay couple in their house, which I imagine may still feel a bit weird to traditional Schwarzwald highlanders, and they showed no hint of being uncomfortable at all. The house is well equipped with all sorts of games, the kitchen with appliances and utensils. The bed felt very cozy and welcoming. The emails are in German, fine by me, but may be a problem to some. Since we came in between seasons, we were offered an upgrade for a reasonable price and took it.

− After booking, the host told us that the double bed was only 1.5 m wide. I wish this information would have been listed.
