− No se nos avisó oportunamente que el jacuzzi no funcionaba pero resolvió rápidamente prestándonos el del otro apartamento que estaba libre.

− Bugs all over, inside and outside the house. I booked for 2 nights and left the same day I arrived because it was impossible to stay with the amount of bugs in the place.

Lovely location with an incredible view. Our host Ury was outstanding and did everything possible to make sure we were comfortable. He has built this chalet with much TLC and it was obvious. Unfortunately, it rained in the afternoons so we didn’t get as much chance to explore and look for birds as we wanted, but nature does what nature does. We loved that it was high above Orosí and in a fascinating area. The history of the coffee and sugar cane growers was fascinating. There is much to discover around Orosí and its lovely that’s off the usual tourist path. We loved the Irazú Volcano and Ujarras Ruins (tons of birds and it’s free). We missed other sites due to lack of time and rain, but Ury can advise.

− Generally Ury had thought of everything. I would’ve liked that the kitchen sink had hot water. I boiled water in the pot to use to wash dishes. We also bought an extra hand towel and wash cloth plus some aluminum foil. It is not easy to reach the property so you may want to plan to bring what you need for food. Getting to the property was a bit of a challenge and absolutely required 4-wheel drive (an adventure for us). Ury sent a photo of a better way to ascend to the home, but I couldn’t figure it out. He kindly drove us back down and showed us exactly where to turn. Basically after you turn up the road to his home (there are four rentals under construction on the right),stay on the paved road. Both Waze and Google will tell you to go straight on a rough road. On the left is an older wooden building with a meter directly in front. Turn right to stay on the good road. You can go the other way, but it gets very steep and rough. Once you arrive, the view is incredible! Important! Book tickets to the national Parks online. Wifi was great.

Excellent place to stay with wonderful views

The location is a bit out of the way but the views are spectacular and it was very quiet and calm. Bed and linens were very comfortable. Ury was easy to communicate with.

− The hot water heater in the shower didn't work very well or very consistently. There was no way to control the temperature and sometimes it was tepid/too cold for comfort and sometimes it was almost scalding.

Our stay was cozy with breathtaking views, and extremely relaxing. Loved every minute!

This was the perfect getaway! Orosi is stunning, and this mountain lodge had the best view of the town and the mountains. The space was super clean, and our host made us feel welcome! We live just an hour outside of Orosi and will be coming back to stay in this mountain lodge in the future. We loved it.

Spectacular views and very quiet, property needs a little attention to detail. Other than that it was good.

The view was absolutely spectacular. It was very quiet. The owner was excellent at returning messages and very helpful.

− For the price it didn’t include soap and shampoo for showers. Thankfully I had a small bottle of shampoo. The water was cold in the kitchen and bathroom sink. I had to boil water to do dishes. The shower did have hot water. The hot tub didn’t feel clean it had a bit of a film on the sides of the hot tub.
