− ⚠️ Honest Review – Forest Hut Cottage (Borjomi Area) ⭐ Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1 out of 5) I rarely write negative reviews, but I feel a responsibility to share my honest experience so that future guests are fully informed before booking this place. Let’s start with the only positive aspect: ✅ The location is undeniably stunning — surrounded by nature, and the view from the cottage is breathtaking. If you’re looking for a scenic escape, this place visually delivers. However, everything else was a disaster, and unfortunately, the cottage itself turned out to be a serious trap. ❌ Hygiene Nightmare Upon arriving around 5 PM, we were greeted by the host’s representative and handed the key. After paying cash for two nights, the host left. A few minutes later, I went to the bathroom and was shocked: 👉 The bidet (shattaf) was disgustingly covered in feces — yes, actual stool, presumably from a previous guest. This was not just unacceptable — it was revolting. We were expecting a clean and ready accommodation, but this was beyond unhygienic. I immediately contacted the host, sent him a photo as proof, and his shocking response was to blame the cleaner — with zero responsibility or apology from his side. He even said, “It’s not my fault,” which is completely unprofessional. ❌ Rude & Unhelpful Host I politely requested a refund for the second night, intending to leave the next morning, and his response was rude and dismissive: “You can leave now if you want.” We couldn’t leave immediately because it was already late and impractical to find a new place, so we stayed one night and checked out the next day. ❌ Uncomfortable Stay • The mattress was unbearable — a cheap, decades-old spring mattress that made it impossible to sleep. I couldn’t fall asleep until 3:30 AM because every movement was painful. • I had confirmed with the host in advance about the availability of barbecue tools, and he assured me they were available.
