Very disappointing. Be careful, no dog friendly house!

− We had a disappointing stay and poor customer experience at Sunshine Guest House. When we booked 3 double rooms, the house was listed amongst properties allowing pets (we have a dog). However, once there, the owner informed us about the small clause in the Booking.com which says that dogs (pets) are only allowed upon approval of the owner. Our dog was only allowed in the garden and not inside the house and the owner said the 5-days booking was not refundable so we could even not look for another place! After long discussions, they allowed letting the dog inside but only on the balcony of our bedroom (fortunately it was good weather!) and we needed to upgrade our room for that. They also charged us an extra fee for the dog. Despite contacting Booking services, they did not solve the issue. The owner was threatening and said he would denounce us to the police if he would see the dog in the house and not in the balcony! So this is absolutely not a dog friendly place, be careful! The house looked nice but smelled stuffy as if it was not well ventilated. There were many antiques which the owner recommended we should not touch. Therefore we did not use the whole living room, being afraid with kids that there would be any issue. The owner was not friendly at all, coming to the house every day, probably to make sure we were not letting the dog in the house. He even commented that we put too little clothes in the washing machine while the washing machine was simply quite big and we barely used it during the whole stay. We did not feel comfortable to have him around the house to be honest. There were also some things missing in the house that we had to request such as the key to our bedroom and extra toilet paper. There were no hand soap in the bathrooms or bath carpet. Overall a very unpleasant experience!
