Excellent location with stunning views. Stunning beach (Aberdovey)10 minutes drive away. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent massage (one of the best)and pedicure from Kelly available Wednesday’s and Sunday (additional days depending on availability). Bar on site ‘Tafarn Plas’ fantastic staff, a great pint and a great selection of gins including a number of local gins. Dart board, snooker, cards, board games and books to use as you wish or just take in the beautiful surroundings with a nice drink. Food being served on an evening, the bar is family run and closed on a Tuesday for a day off, the rural location means less staff then big cities so expect that changes can occur at short notice but this does not compromise the excellent friendly service. The facilities are good if dated, plenty to do, 2 pools, pitch and put, tennis, table tennis and lovely walks, the sauna is not working at the moment but steam room and jacuzzi are and are nice. We plan to return soon with extended family.

− Accommodation is dated and in need of some updates, carpets and curtains need replacing asap, (need black out curtains) and skirtings need painting, really letting it down by not spending on this! And needs a new sofa. As regular customers to many other Mac Donald hotels this is needed, but wow what a gem this place is! See past these and it’s a great self catering accommodation, with a good oven, big fridge freezer, great dish washer and enough equipment to cook properly. The beds are comfortable, bedding and towels sparkling white and a massive TV with good WiFi (a must for us), take your own pillow if that is important for you. If anything is missing or needs attention ask the staff and remind them if needed there only a small team and did respond on our requests for additional glasses and a maintenance issue. I wouldn’t normally give a place with this many updates that are needed a 9 (more a 6.5 -7) but it’s good bits deserve the 9…. Please change the carpets and curtains.

Poor maintainence and old houses

Location was good if you are interested in hiking and visit nearby towns but quite far from Llandudno which js the most beautiful place in Wales. The property was spacious and alloted parking which was good.

− The property was not managed well, the toilet flush was not working and no support provided to fix them. Also, the houses and furniture is quite old. I was cooking and the chimney filter fell dowm, luckily i was safe. Also, its unsafe, on one day when i returned to the property my doors were unlocked which means someone did came in and when i complained about it there was no action. The facilities are not manitained well and unhygenic. The tennis room was so dirty, i felt they didn't open it for ages.
