Loved the apartment; hated the noise
8.0The unit is on the sixth floor of a nine-story condominium. It is spacious and very nicely appointed. Each of the four bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom. Beds are very comfortable, good quality linens are provided along with bathroom amenities like shampoo, body wash , etc. The kitchen is well equipped with a stove/oven and large refrigerator/freezer, blender, toaster, water dispenser and coffeemaker. There is no dishwasher. The internet is fast and stable. There is a washer/dryer in the unit. The entire complex is well maintained and has 24/7 security. The outdoor pool was very nice but cold…we swam in the Gulf; the beach is very clean except some seaweed. There is access to a small rooftop pool and sunning area. The winds on the Gulf coast are relentless.
− Unfortunately we had noise issues from renovations in another unit. At times the noise was intolerable, but there was no recourse since work was permitted within prescribed hours…which were 8-5 Monday through Friday. The owner/manager was somewhat sympathetic but offered no alternative or remuneration. We chose to remain rather than seek resolution through Booking.com, but others may have found the noise unacceptable. If not for this issue, we would have given the property an excellent rating.
