The pool is lovely Good breakfast choice Nice rooms Helpful staff. The manager in particular was lovely.

− There aren't enough sunbeds around the pool given the number of rooms and guests. Most of them are in the shade all day which is a shame as I like to lie in the sun. They are doing building works so parts of the hotel looks scruffy and there is banging from 9am onwards The gardens are scruffy and patchy The restaurant where we had dinner in our first night, the food was good when it came, but it was soooo slow.. Over an hour and although I had requested mine to be gluten free, the chicken was covered in bread crumbs so I had to reject it. I was assured it would be quick. It wasn't. Another hour later I got my food. My family had all finished and had been offered dessert when I hadn't even had my mains. Rather inconsiderate of the female European manager on duty who kept coming over and asking then what dessert they wanted. They did waive the cost of my meal in the end but only after some negotiation. We never ate there again, but got tuk tuks to Dambulla or ate in sigirya after sunset walks up the rock etc. They lost a t-shirt when we handed in our laundry. They did waive the cost of the laundry ( a fraction of the cost of the t-shirt) but only when we asked. The location.. We didn't do it research properly, so lured by the swimming pool pictures! It is 40mins drive from all the main sites....lions rock, the elephant reserves etc. And a 10 min drive from all the restaurants in Dambulla (of which there are only a few), so you are a bit stuck there unless you have a driver. We wish we'd stayed in a hotel in the sigirya where there are loads of fab restaurants to choose from.

Flot hotel- aber i træerne- god morgenmad

− Langsom service Små portioner mad - gik sultne i seng 2 nætter Fik større portioner efter vi klagede . Super tjener Yohan Vi tog en ekstra nat hvor en “smart” Receptionist tog røven på mig hvilket kostede os 23$.- yderligere “beordrede” ham os til at give et “10” i rating på booking - hvilket jeg blev ekstrem fornærmet over. Han løj mig op i ansigtede - “det værelse vi boede i var booket til dagen efter - så tilbud han os 2 “langt væk fra pool “ hvilket vi selvsikkert ønskede. Så fik vi tilbud om nabo rummet - optimalt - men så var det han så sit snit til at hæve beløbet - jeg mistede min rabat på booking og han scorede en booking og hævede prisen. Han lovede yderligere at vi fik med morgenmad - Senere sendte han en besked at morgenmaden ikke var inkl. lig 91$ oveni Vi måtte vente ved tjek in som var kl 15 . Sent nok i forhold til vores rejsetid, endte i rummet kl 16 - dårlig stil. Den anden receptionist Zaky redede opholdet han var helt igennem professionel hjalp til ved det mindste - han

Very welcoming and comfortable hotel. Good breakfast selection and nice restaurant for evening meal and the lady was brilliant and give us good food suggestions. Zacky was extremely helpful to answer any questions and made sure we had everything we needed.

Very enjoyable. Swim up bar was a favourite relaxation spot for us. Super friendly lovely staff.

The staff were fabulous, in particular, Jhan. He was exceptionally trained in all aspects of service and so lovely. Located right next door to the must see Dambulla cave temple.

− The property was great, only we had to walk up three flights of stairs to get to our particular room.

The pool which was closed when we arrived due to a water issue was rectified in a day & the wonderful manager Siddu made a plan to spend the afternoon as a neighbouring hotel pool. Happy hr cocktails from 6-7pm were amazing & totally delicious. Dinner fantastic & service from our waiter, Johan, outstanding. All the staff were amazing including the chefs. Best Sri Lankan breakfast ever ! Hopper Benedict & banana bread to die for! Lying by the pool all day and having cocktails in the swim up bar was the best last day in Sri Lanka.

− Unfortunately the spa / gym/yoga listed on their facilities offering was closed which was disappointing and we did advise he change this on booking.com
