Pleasant stay in the Groene Zoom
8.0The location was great; very quiet and peaceful, basically in the countryside. The perfect place for cycling to all the places we wanted to go. The house was comfortable and mostly well equipped, with a few exceptions. A nice sheltered patio outside where we ate all our meals. The bike shed was very useful for putting our bikes. The double bedroom is large and with an en-suite bathroom (but no toilet). The 2nd bedroom is a small bunkroom, fine for one adult or two children, though I found the beds pretty small for an adult. The 3rd "bedroom" has two single beds but really shouldn't be advertised as a bedroom as it is just on the mezzanine floor on the way to the double bedroom and is open to the living space. That was disappointing and inconvenient. Supermarkets are an easy bike ride away, as are some nice restaurants. Access was very easy with the lock-box.
− A few standard things lacking in the kitchen: vegetable peeler, grater, lemon squeezer, corkscrew, toaster, brush and dustpan, sharp knives (they were totally blunt. Fortunately we had a pocketknife). All basic items that you'd expect to find in a kitchen. There was a lamp upstairs that didn't work (and we tried a different light bulb)
We had a memorable stay there.
