I dont normally write reviews but after seeing some previous reviews, I dont believe they were accurate and were quiet unfair. This place was actually really lovely, they had everything you could possibly need there - especially the kitchen and it was super comfortable with a spectacular view that you could just sit and look out at the window at all day. The location was unreal, not the far away from Hobart but far away enough to feel like you're out of town, the place had been modernised and the beds/pillows/towels were all super lux and comfortable. Yes there are roosters in the neighbouring properties but you cant really hear them when you are inside the house, only from the outside but there are lots of little animals roaming around to see and watch which is lovely too. Although the spiral stairs are a little confronting, we kept out bags downstairs and you do have the option to sleep up or downstairs with the option of 2 beds - all the blinds close up for darkness and privacy. It was between 0 - 10 degrees outside every day and night but we were really warm and comfortable with the 2 split air cons going, which we turned on timers for when we arrived/left for the days.

− A little disappointed we couldn't use the fireplace which was our deciding reason to book that place, there was also 1 day where there was building work being done on the other empty house on the property with builders being loud, boisterous and cranking the music from 7:30am + building noise - they were Ok but just didn't know they would be there and it took away a bit of the privacy and quiet, it was only one day though so not too bad.

− didn't like the freon gas leak coming from the fridge. didn't like the lack of ventilation. no opening windows. didn't like the roosters noise from the neighbouring property. didn't like that my husband had to help move the toxic fridge outside and schlep another one in from upstairs shed next door. liquid soaps were not refilled and quite certain the shampoo supplied was Palmolive dish detergent. way too hot at night as mentioned due to lack of ventilation. ceiling fan was useless. sheets scratchy. no apologies from the host for the toxic fridge gas leak

The location and the views were spectacular

− The description does not adequately describe the set up of this location, although there are two sleeping areas everything is open plan so provides limited privacy It was not particularly warm when we visited and the heating system is not sufficient to heat this huge open plan area There was out of date food in the fridge, not a good thing This holiday home could be stunning it just lacks a bit of TLC unfortunately
