Disappointing stay: the house could keep its charm but be cared for more.
4.0The location & the terrace.
− We booked this place thinking we'd get the upper floor, but the listing was unclear (especially on Booking.com, more clear on AirBnb) and we ended up on the ground floor by mistake. Unfortunately, the stay didn’t meet expectations at all. The bathroom was tiny, with the shower and toilet crammed into one extremely small space. We even found a used joint near the sink, which was quite off-putting. At first there was no warm water, we were told it was forgotten, but it happened again later during our stay. Several things were in poor condition: the doors squeaked loudly and were hard to open & close, the fridge smelled strongly of expired fish and the dishes/cutlery were dirty when we arrived. The blinds in front of the terrace were broken so they weren't of any use. There’s no WiFi (which we knew), but what wasn’t mentioned is that mobile service is often unavailable, making communication really difficult. Also, we had to ask for toilet paper and were told it’s not the host’s responsibility to provide any. Yes this house has it charm and therefore we have to accept the dampness, loud wavesounds, small insects, etc. into account. Nonetheless the house could keep its charm but be cared for more. Small renovations & basic maintenance could improve the experience of any visitor. Overall, definitely not worth the price. Wouldn’t recommend unless these issues are addressed.
