Not what I expected I would have to deal with

The location was great. Was happy with the extra linens and towels. Check in was easy. I was offered an early check in for a fee.

− Johnnie was verbally responsive but less problem solving with action. I arrived and there was a mouse in the bedroom which seemed to be half dead as it was flopping around. I messaged Johnnie and yes he responded right away and was appalled to learn of this, but he did not come to deal with it. I had to capture the mouse in paper towel and get it outside. The TV also would not connect to the WiFi and all the TV apps and services could not connect and I was without TV the entire 2 weeks of my stay. Before arriving I asked Johnnie if there was a wireless speaker in the unit and he responded "No, speakers are prohibited" I explained that I don't really watch TV and prefer to listen to music, which he responded I can do this through the TV. Well I could not actually do this, since the TV would not connect/work properly. Every time I asked him for an update, Johnnie said he reached out to the internet company but they said that it wasn't a problem with the internet since I could connect to the WiFi through my phone and laptop. Johnnie did not once come around to look at the problem himself or send anyone else around to try and fix the problem. He just repeated that they had never had any issues. When I arrived, I asked how to control the heating and Johnnie said it is controlled by the building and cannot be adjusted. The bedroom was too hot for sleeping and no window available to leave open throughout the night. After a week+ sleeping on the pull out couch, I mentioned the heat to Johnnie to see if the building could do something about it and he advised that I could turn down the radiators in the unit, but he originally said I couldn't adjust anything.

Cozy, spacious and peaceful apartment

The area was safe and the metro was very close. The apartment is beautiful and cozy, we liked staying there, it was very enyojable. Very good apartment and would recommend it to anyone. We were in contact with he hosts through messages and everything went smoothly with the keys.

Comfortable stay in a charming flat in Notting Hill

It’s on the ground floor with a nice view from the bedroom and though the front is facing the road they had nice wooden shutters (not metal grills or fogged glass). The bed was comfortable as was the sofa bed (can fit 2 adults) and the lovely modern kitchen had a Nespresso machine (only thing that we needed). Though maybe other people would want things like an oven glove or baking tray. The location was convenient for Westbourne Park Underground and Portobello Market and the house was charming and tastefully decorated. There was even a book on Egon Schiele. Good communication with the owner, all in all we had a comfortable 8-night stay, thanks!

− Maybe the windows especially the one in the bathroom could be better isolated, it was cold and windy during our stay and we felt it regularly. It was a period house so you could hear the neighbours in the corridor or on the stairs.
