La vue spectaculaire, le confort, (même sans électricité), l'accueil de Jeff et Suzy (merci pour la ballade le lendemain) le service, de Jeffrey, la folie de djodjo... Une expérience à vivre! Merci, bonne continuation

− L'elec aurait été la cerise sur le gâteau pour davantage en profiter, mais c'est indépendant de leur volonté et la soirée aux chandelles avait aussi son charme

The location was amazing! We were so happy to arrive in the quiet beautiful surroundings after being in the crowded touristic north of the island. Monkey Mountain Lodge is located above the trees, giving a beautiful view over the jungle and the ocean. The staff is so friendly and helpful, we felt instantly at home. The lodges are very roomy with each having a big private balcony.

Il Monkey Mountain Lodge é un posto magico…immerso in una foresta bellissima con baobab secolari. Da qui si osservano molti animali, in primis le blue monkeys. Il lodge è molto bello, è stato costruito con cura e attenzione. È dotato di una terrazza dalla quale si possono osservare magnifiche albe mentre dal bar ci si può godere una vista a 360*. All’interno del lodge Sono stati pensati dei piccoli accorgimenti che fanno la differenza come ad esempio il the e il caffè disponibile in camera, il frigorifero, le prese usb al muro. Lo staff é molto gentile e disponibile, si sono presi cura di noi cucinando anche cose fuori dal menù. Il cibo é fatto con cura e ottimi prodotti freschi del luogo, pertanto é possibile mangiare piatti deliziosi della cucina locale. Siamo stati molto dispiaciuti di andare via, avremmo voluto fermarci più tempo. Jeff, Susy ed il loro staff ci hanno fatto sentire davvero accolti.

Un vrai coup de cœur ! Nous avons passé un séjour merveilleux. Le patron est d’une gentillesse incroyable, toujours souriant, bienveillant et prêt à rendre service. On se sent immédiatement les bienvenus. Nous avons adoré le calme des lieux, la nature tout autour et cette atmosphère paisible qui permet de vraiment déconnecter. Et quel bonheur de voir les singes se promener autour de l’établissement ! C’était une expérience unique qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus magique. Nous repartons avec de magnifiques souvenirs et espérons revenir un jour.

Luxurious Treehouse

I love this place as it sits on top of a mountain and once you’re inside your room, it feels like you’re in a luxurious treehouse. The views are amazing and the sunrise was great to wake up to and witness. I was looking for a calm and serene place in nature to end my 3 week long trip around Zanzibar and this place was exactly what I was looking for. The staff helped me with my backpack up and down the stairs, and greeted me with a nice fruit drink. The host was endearing, funny, easy-going and very generous, letting me stay beyond checkout time. He offered me tea in the morning and great conversations. Breakfast was delicious consisting of eggs done your way, toast, pancakes, Nutella, peanut butter, fruit, tea, and a fruit drink. Being up in the mountain, there’s a wonderful breeze present throughout the day. Reading a book in this setting was ideal. For dinner I ordered the grilled calamari and pumpkin purée which was phenomenal! Kudos to the chef! Also, the host informed me of the electricity outage notification that he received and provided me with an emergency light and his personal hotspot and I saw several lanterns lit as backup. Luckily, the outage never occurred but I was highly impressed by the host’s proactive approach to making me feel prepared and comfortable, reducing any inconveniences that may occur. Other places I’ve stayed at just expected the guests to deal with the outage. You’re also in for a treat if you love monkeys as they will come right up to you.
