After spending almost three weeks in Zanzibar as a family and staying in around six different hotels, the Royal Mandarin was our final stop. Because of our previous experiences, our expectations for both Zanzibar and this hotel were extremely high. To be honest, the standard of several places we visited before had left us rather disappointed. The moment we arrived at the Royal Mandarin, everything changed. From the warm welcome at reception to the very last minute of our stay, we truly felt like we had entered another world. The food is simply outstanding. Every meal was of exceptional quality, fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The staff deserve special recognition—they are incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. We were especially impressed by how professional and friendly they remained at all times, even when dealing with guests who were unnecessarily rude or dissatisfied. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. The beach is stunning, the gardens are immaculate, and the entire property is maintained to perfection. Our room was cleaned twice a day, and every corner of the resort was spotless throughout our stay. You can clearly see how much pride the team takes in keeping everything in perfect condition. We travelled with children and felt comfortable from the very beginning. Everything was clean, hygienic, and well organized. None of us became ill during our stay, which gave us great peace of mind. It was, without question, a dream vacation for our family. A very special thank you goes to the General Manager, Monsieur Jacques. He is a true gem. Wherever he could, he personally helped us and made sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. His leadership is reflected in the outstanding team he has built, and together they made our holiday truly unforgettable. We can recommend the Royal Mandarin without any hesitation.

Das Personal war an Freundlichkeit nicht zu übertreffen - schnell, kompetent, stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Alle unsere Probleme wurden ernst genommen und sofort zu unserer Zufriedenheit gelöst.

− Die Gezeiten sind recht stark, aber man konnte immer mindestens 2-3 Stunden pro Tag schwimmen

Una bellissima esperienza al Royal Mandarin

La struttura, situata a nord-est dell’isola gode del fenomeno delle basse maree dove puoi fare lunghe passeggiate sulla barriera corallina e godere al mattino di una spettacolare alba. È molto ben tenuta, le pulizie sono continue e iniziano già nelle prime ore del mattino. Noi abbiamo soggiornato nel bungalow fronte mare ed è stato veramente bello poter svegliarsi e mettere i piedi direttamente sulla sabbia. Ciò che ha reso speciale il nostro soggiorno lì sono state le persone: di un rispetto, una gentilezza e una cordialità unica. Consiglio vivamente.

− Forse l’unica pecca è che hai poca varietà di cibo, nel senso che, mangi soprattutto riso, verdure, pollo, polpo e calamari ed è tutto tanto speziato (cosa che io gradisco ma magari altre persone un po’ meno). Solo un giorno, dopo una giornata di escursione, abbiamo trovato la camera non pulita ma abbiamo chiamato la reception e hanno subito provveduto a sistemarla. Se cercate vita notturna, il resort non fa per voi. L’intrattenimento dura finché si cena e intorno alle 23 spariscono tutti. Va bene per chi cerca total relax.

Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Super lekkere keuken. Paradijslijke locatie. Late check out gekregen. Zeer vriendelijke directeur die altijd bereikbaar is.

− Niets. Misschien 1 tip : massage tent op andere rustigere plaats zetten. Meer publiciteit maken met de excursies aangeboden door het hotel.

We liked the view and the the service as well. The hotel is right next to the beach which allows either for a quick dive into the pool or the sea. The food was nice. All the staff was really friendly.

− When we arrive our bed had stained sheets. However, when we called the reception they sent a team immediately to change them. The entertainment room could be improved as the pool table and air hockey table had issues.
