10.0Incredible hostess, excellent hospitality. She went really above and beyond with pick ups from the station, walking me to the local museum, suggesting a good coin locker for the day while I waited for my next bus after checkout and wanted to do some shopping, and incredible friendly. Would highly recommend staying here on your trip to Mashiko, I know that I would stay again. Absolutely loved the cedar tub and everything about it!
− It’s just a little far out of town, but totally great if you want a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle. Make sure you get food for dinner or eat before heading back for the night as there is nothing close by. (I didn’t have a car) A little dusty in some spots and not really a big deal unless you have allergies.

− A little far away so needed to taxi a few times to get in and out of town. But not really an issue!
If you are in the area and want a chance to be out in the country, this is a great spot.
8.0Our hostess was super friendly and even did our laundry for us! The location was charming and we took a lovely evening stroll. We had a rental car which meant we could get around the locale easily. It would be a bit more challenging without your own transportation. Breakfast was delicious. The upstairs rooms are newer as is the upstairs toilet which is shared with other guests. The downstairs toilet is shared with the owner. The shower/sink area is shared by everyone.
