Good views and location in clean but a little tired hotel

− The receptionist was a little unfriendly when we arrived before checkin time, just repeating checkin was at 3 (we arrived at 2). We had one member of group unwell so we asked them to check if one room available which they accommodated with early checkin. Need to replace hallway carpets.

10.0El desayuno es muy completo y están pendientes de todos los detalles. Las vistas desde la habitación maravillosas, te entran ganas de estar todo el tiempo mirando por el ventanal tan estupendo. El Onsen también está fenomenal
− En la habitación falta algún soporte para colocar la maletas y que no estén abiertas en el suelo.

Beautiful quiet retreat not far from Kyoto
10.0Wonderful location in a unique small town. There's plenty to see and do in a low-key kind of way. The kaiseki meal in the hotel (reservations required) and onsen were both excellent. The rooms were very good, spacious, as pictured. The buffet breakfast was great. And the hotel has plenty of areas where you can relax and soak in views of the bay and mountains. Service was excellent and business-like - language was a bit of a barrier, but the staff were accommodating.
− Be aware that there are few options for dinner in Amanohashidate, and they tend to close early or need reservations. There's no nearby konbini either. (Not the hotel's fault - just something to be aware of.)
