10.0Really nice cave hotel in the sleepy little town of Mustafapasa. Room was nice and cool (great to beat the blazing Cappadocia summer heat) and had an enormous bathroom. Delicious Turkish breakfast served daily and terrace is great for hanging out. It is on top of a hill so if you’re planning to walk, be aware of that. Hotel staff speak a little English but were very handy with Google Translate and helped us with all sorts of requests, including bus service, balloon rides, taxi service etc. Housekeeping every 2-3 days. Note that despite the address, this hotel is NOT in Urgup (which is what I thought when I booked). It’s in Mustafapasa, a small town about 11 min away from Urgup. If you’re driving or doing tours, it doesn’t really matter, but if you’re taking public transit it is somewhat inconvenient as you need to take the bus to Urgup before transferring to further destinations.
Lovely hotel with casual service uphill from a truly delightful town.
7.0Pleasant hotel on a hill overlooking the town. Very quiet, very friendly. Lovely terrace. The breakfast was delightful. A friendly young man was running it. It felt very family-run, very comfortable.
− We were there three nights and it was never cleaned. We brought out our own wet towels and bathroom trash to get rid of. A cave can get very musty without regular cleaning.
