Great villa, wonderful hosts, fantastic views
10.0Vagianou Thea Celeste is in a location with fantastic views over the valley towards the sea and over to Paros, and beautiful sunsets. It is very peaceful and quiet with all the facilities needed for a great holiday. Aircon is available though the villa was cool and all the windows and doors have mosquito screens, not that we noticed any. Costas and Marilia ensured everything went smoothly, both before and during our stay, and were very approachable for advice on places to see, or eat. We had regular chats with Costas who speaks very good English. On arrival, the villa was very well stocked with all the necessaries, including bread, butter, coffee, milk, ham, cheese, juice, bottled water and an enormous platter of fruit. As others have mentioned, a car is essential, firstly to get to the villa from the port/airport, but also to appreciate the remainder of the island which, apart from Chora and a couple of beaches, is very much unspoilt and traditional, unlike many other islands. Driving is generally not difficult with decent roads. The local village, Vivlos, has a couple of simple tavernas, but Chora is only a 10 minute drive with a large selection at reasonable prices. The entrance from the road to the villa is a rough track for about 100 metres, but on arriving at the villa, the view ahead is breathtaking. We would thoroughly recommend the villa and hosts, Costas and Marilia.

10.0I loved everything. Nektaria and Kostas are wonderful hosts. They really went the extra mile to make me feel welcome and comfortable. The apartment is on the ground floor of their house away from the road, on top of a hill overlooking the Aegean Sea and Paros. The sunset from the cute terrasse is not to be missed. Everything is brand new and spotless. Nice firm bedding and good water pressure in the shower. The kitchen is well equipped. You can tell they gave a lot of thought into the details. If you look for peace and quiet with a view, Thea Celeste is for you
