Hidden Gem Motel Cabin in Leadville

Communication with the motel's owner was clear and helpful, and we felt most welcome. We absolutely loved the privacy of Cabin B, and the comfy foam bed. This felt much more like staying as a guest of a friend than at a motel. Little extras like bottled water and flavored seltzers in the full size fridge, and the special skincare amenities were a nice touch! This motel is walkable to the entire town of Leadville, but is on the "quiet end" so ideal for a great night's sleep.

− Lighting in the bathroom could be improved with any kind of sconce or mirror light instead of one, overhead fixture.

Convenient spot with a good hot tub and gas stove.

We chose this place for the location. It’s a good value for a full kitchen with a gas stove. Nice, helpful staff. The hot tub was great!

− As other people noted, the mattress should be replaced. Two people end up sucked into the hole on top of each other. This should not be advertised as a Mountain View apartment. I am attaching pictures from each window. The first is from the bedroom (no mountain). The other two are from a window right next to the door in the hallway. I suppose technically you can see a small part of the mountain if you are standing in just the right place. But this feels kind of deceptive considering how it is advertised.

Had own parking space. Excellent cooking facilities. Water & soft drinks were provided, along with a lovely little goodie bag. Comfortable bed.

− Hot water worked well in the shower, but not in the handbasin or kitchen sink. The lighting in the sitting room area could be improved.

The layout was nice and private - they did a good job making it functional for the small space - and it was VERY clean

− The bathroom light was a bit dim

Excellent stay for Skijoring weekend!

Clean, very quiet and comfortable. Loved the kitchen which was needed during Skijoring event as the restaurants were packed and wait times were over an hour. Slept well.

− Had to unplug lights above kitchen cabinets as there wasn’t switch and it was too bright to sleep with on, as we needed to keep bedroom door open for heat as it was very cold outside.
