Omah Kepel est un lieu idéal pour explorer les villages environnants et le mont merapi. Les vélos prêtés par l'hôte sont un gros plus pour se déplacer dans les alentours Toutes les petites maisons sont décorées avec soin et le cadre permet de se reposer pleinement Ariah est un hôte très généreux et ouvert et dont les conseils sont utiles. Nous lui sommes reconnaissants d'avoir organisé un cours de cuisine avec sa voisine et sommes heureux d'avoir pu échanger avec lui Gros points positifs pour la noix de coco à aller chercher et à ouvrir soi-même et pour la délicieuse pizza du soir !

The hosts, pak Arya and ibu Debbie, have built a truly unique place on the beautiful slopes of Mount Merapi. It is not your average hotel, but rather a genuinely wonderful experience! Adapt to the old Javanese tradition of bowing when you enter your charming little bungalow, or else you will hit your head. Enjoy the old fashioned way of taking a shower, with a gayung and hot water prepared for you on an open fire. Breakfast is traditional Javanese and spectacularly good! The table is always full with delicious snacks!

− Some may miss standard hotel comfort. The room doesn't have an air conditioner for example. Personally I'd rather call that an advantage. The air is fresh and the fan more than sufficient for a good night's sleep!

It's a perfect place to have some rest,surrounded by the rice fields and run by a lovely family. I spent a great time with them and ate a delicious dinner that they prepared. You can see that the owner put his heart to decorate this place and that he loves having guests.I can highly recommend it.

I stayed with my family at Omah Kepel in September 2023, and we all enjoyed our stay here. The atmosphere reminds us of our grandparents' house with wooden architecture, green grass, plenty of plants, and a peaceful environment. The beds were very comfortable, excellent airflow, clean, fresh laundry scent, beautiful nature, a wood-burning stove that we could use to cook "from farm to table" meals, free & nice nasi kuning breakfast, and as a bonus: we could harvest all the fruits and vegetables from Mr. Arya's garden for free, the nicest owner we've met. And we could also harvest from the surrounding residents' gardens at a very affordable price. We harvested chili peppers, tomatoes, long beans, green beans, eggplants, papayas, and salak pondoh! We will definitely come back!
