The location was convenient for our needs, and I appreciated having a full kitchen available. I have food sensitivities and a chronic health condition, so being able to prepare our own meals was very important. The kitchen and bathroom appeared to have been recently renovated and were the nicest parts of the home. The host was also very friendly, responsive, and accommodating throughout our stay.

− There were several maintenance and cleanliness issues that impacted our experience. The gas stove was quite old, some burners would not ignite, and there was a noticeable gas odor when the stove was in use. The house also had a musty smell, particularly in the back bedroom. The window air conditioner in that room had a strong unpleasant odor (like it had been previously used in a smoker’s home) and appeared to need a thorough cleaning, so I was unable to use it. The box fan provided was also very dusty/dirty. Because the air conditioner was unusable for me, we kept the windows open, but on our first night a strong smoke odor from outside entered the house and woke me up. Even after closing the windows, the smell lingered until morning. Given California’s air quality challenges and the age of the property, an air purifier would be a valuable addition. The covered porch had potential but was very dirty with spider webs everywhere and did not feel inviting to use. The floors inside the house also appeared to need a deeper cleaning, as the bottoms of our socks became noticeably dirty after walking around. Additionally, I noticed hairs on the sheets of the small twin bed. There is an adjacent property next door (duplex), and on our first night their dogs barked outside our window for a period of time. Fortunately, they (and the neighbors) were mostly quiet for the remainder of our stay, so it did not end up being a major issue, but it is something future guests should be aware of.

Michael was an exceptional host. Very accomodating and responsive. Our flight was significantly delayed, and Michael was more than happy to accomodate our timeline. The location is great. A short 8 minute walk to a nearby Ralphs, Starbucks and lots of asian place

It felt safe and the host was very kind and polite. Nice air conditioning and our bed was comfy.

We were able to drop off our luggage early before normal check, which was great. That let be able to go to Long Beach 🏖️ and enjoy the day laying in the sand. Thank you for the early check in.
