8.0It was lovely ideal for walking beautiful scenery ,but the ale let it down so we went 3mins up road to craven arms 7 real ales and cheaper by a £1.00.
− We are a massive real ale enthusiast ,and go round pubs and try them ,unfortunately the ale was not upto scratch very poor ,last time we came the original person owned it ,he had a massive selection and it was dam good. My partner had a pint and it was like piss water flat awful it was £6.20 a pint ,so we went up the road to the craven arms it was packed out with people 7 real ales £5.00 a pint and totally different dam good.Also I think they were trying to hard with the breakfast ,alot of people would have liked it ,but we unfortunately do not like smoked bacon ,and salted butter.

9.0This Inn is full of character, fantastic staff, spotless, great for meeting new people. The only downside was not wheelchair friendly, however spoke to staff before arrival and arranged to have bedroom at the top of the stairs as I am ambulant. We went for one night as we were going on the Embsay and Bolton Abbey steam train the next day. One quirky side was no t.v. but to be honest we didn't miss it. When we arrived we met a lovely couple who we got along famously with. They had been the previous year for the Husband's Birthday and enjoyed it so much they came back again. After they had left we couldn't help ourselves answering to each other a group of lovely young ladies quiz questions. The girls noticed us and asked us to join in and help. It was really good fun as we are in our 60s and they girls were around 20yrs old. Between us we did the over 60 proud. 🤣 Back to our evening meal and we had a great choice and the food and service yet again fantastic. We had an early night as another long day tomorrow. Shower was powerful. The kind you don't want to get out of. We had to step up into the bathroom but that was fine(ambulatory). Downstairs for breakfast and again a great choice. Excellent food and service. We will definitely go back again

8.0Beautiful setting overlooking Yorkshire Dales. Alexa who was on duty was charming and very helpful and cooked a lovely breakfast.
Disappointing and overbpri
1.0Breakfast was between 8 and8.30!. It was ok but nothing special
− It was like a hostel, food only served Fri sat, sun, the bar and breakfast room were locked up , key access to the bedroom not a welcoming relaxing atmosphere at all
Very pleasant we will return next year

− Bar wasn’t open and no option to have an evening meal
