Fantastic, very homely house.
10.0Casa dos Castanheiros is a fantastic house. It felt as if it is the family home, with beautiful furniture, paintings an decoration.There is also a fire place with enough wood in a cupboard in the hall. Outside there were too lovely kittens that became our friends. We felt sorry to leave (although they were clearly well taken care of). The kitchen is foreseen of all amenities. Plenty of parking space in the (huge) garden. The setting is very beautiful.

For those who like silence and stars on the sky!
10.0Lovely place for people who like silence, relax and would like to be disconected to other people. Big green park with tree, plants and flowers, forest behind the house, small levada and little biger one to walk. Full equipment, we felt like in the museum. So many details, bibelots, old stuff makes this place awesome!

10.0This house is with special atmosphere created by location itself as well as by paintings, photos and even library inside. It is located not far from the forest zone, so the air is very fresh and pleasant to breath. There is furniture to sit outside the house. Many things are available for cooking, the kitchen is fully equipped, the washing machine works perfectly. The host is super responsive and helpful. Honestly, living there was feeling like a king :)
