Tolle grosszügige Lodge mit diversen Gemeinschaftsbereichen und diversen Unterkünften direkt am Meer inmitten herrlichem Dschungel. Affen, Tukan, Papageien und vieles mehr. Toller Strand endlos, gutes Essen, tolle Betreiber! Ausflüge buchbar, alles super.

Exotic Jungle Retreat

It’s mind blowing - being this deep in the jungle, so far from anything and anyone. We loved the location, wildlife and the proximity to Corcovado NP. Cabins are huge and they look like they were supposed to be equipped with kitchens, but the only way to get food is to pre-order it with the staff. Limited food variety is understandable given the location, so bring snacks - there is a community fridge to store it at! People are wonderful and very accommodating. Yoga shala is amazing and is equipped with mats. Lots of handmade art objects, furniture - super inspiring!

− Sleeping without the A/C is tough, even you manage to get the fan blowing directly on your bed - something to be aware of and to get used to. The beach directly in front of the hotel is pretty rough - for a comfortable swim you’d have to hike to Playa San Josecito - this is also the reason why boats drop people off there. Everything is very expensive for what you get - boat rides, accommodation, tours that you book through them - expect California prices.

The location is unbeatable. This is, hands down, my favorite place in Costa Rica. The scenery is stunning. It feels completely isolated in the jungle. We loved walking everywhere along the beach. We had access to everything you could possibly want: beaches, trails, ocean, a large clear river, boat taxis, exciting tours, animals, healthy food, great conversations, no light pollution, and a safe, comfy place to sleep. We saw more animals during our hikes and at Ocean Forest than we did during our trip to Corcovado. The food was delicious and we were most grateful that it was fresh and healthy. They went above and beyond to meet our needs during our stay. We are so grateful this place exists and can't wait to come back.

− There is nothing to be done about the heat but it was a hot and humid visit. More fans in the room would help offset the heat in the evenings. We decided to walk to the river every day to cool off before bed and that worked like a charm.

Tout était parfait ! Le lieu est calme et magique ! Des singes et autres animaux sont visibles autours des différentes lodges et sur le sentier menant à la plage juste en face de l’hôtel. Cette plage est grande et magnifique ! L’hôtel est cette un peu difficile d’accès mais n’est ce pas le prix à payer pour être au cœur de la nature, proche des animaux et du parc national de Corcovado ? De plus, le personnel très gentil et chaleureux s’est toujours rendu disponible pour nous aider à porter nos bagages de l’endroit où le bateau nous a déposé (playa San Josecito) jusqu’à l’hôtel et de l’hôtel vers le bateau. Les repas faits maison avec produits frais était eux aussi excellents !
