Clean tidy apartment in fantastic location

Spacious apartment that has everything you need. It was clean, tidy and spacious. Both beds were comfortable. The air con is in the hallway and isn’t strong enough to properly cool the whole flat however if you close the door at each ends of the hallway and just let it work on the bedrooms it was perfectly comfortable to sleep despite the high temperatures. The location was great being about 15 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes from the ferries. Easy self check in instructions. Would absolutely stay again.

Location is amazing. Supermarket down the road, close to the water and views amazing.

− The air conditioning positioning - no air con in rooms or in living/kitchen area. Don't say there is air con when it's in a hallway only! Doesn't reach the rooms or cool the house down.

Gorgeous views, spacious apartment. Easy to adjust temperature in the apartment. Comfy beds. Good location, close to restaurants and bars and short walk to the train station and ferry terminal.

The location of this apartment is great! It sits up with a nice view of Lake Como. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station and is a short walk to all that Varenna has to offer. There is a washer with a nice drying rack too. The beds were comfy and the bath towels were very nice too!

− While the host can't control the weather, the apartment stated there was A/C, which there was, but it was not adequate to cool the entire apartment. And as one other reviewer said it was in a weird location in the hallway not allowing you to open the hallway door all the way, but fortunately was close to the bedrooms and we were able to close a hallway door to the rest of the apartment to help keep the bedrooms cool enough that we could sleep at night. The bathroom was adequate, but could use a little updating. And the bidet was broken (if you are expecting that). The owner should consider putting another A/C unit in the living area to adequately cool the place when the days get really hot, which with global warming will continue to happen.

Good location and very responsive owners. It could have been a little more comfortable.

The hosts were very responsive and very kind. The location is good, close to everything in town.

− It would be nice to have comfortable chairs and a couch in the living area, instead there was a kitchen table with plastic chairs. There was a not so comfortable, quite worn, daybed instead. They can use some updates.

If coming from the train, you just walk a bit past the house to the management company offices and retrieve the keys. Once inside it is spotless and super roomy. My favorite was our bedroom where we slept with the windows open and heard the gentle rustle of the trees as we slept. The view from the front windows were absolutely gorgeous of the lake. What was great is where we are on the main road, so we did not have to climb up or down the steps just to go somewhere...if we wanted to go down to the water we could but we could also walk easily to other parts of the town. I think it is better than being directly on the water and quieter. With a quick 5 minute walk down to the action on the water. This would be very comfortable for two couples or a family. the photos of from the front and side of the apartment.

− When I first arrived there was a bit of chemical smell from the cleaning products but it aired out quickly. They let us check in early so that was probably why! Also the bathroom was on the main street but again the location worth it.
