Villa is Cute but deceiving. Not well maintained and dirty.

Design is cute. Location is good, very close to Pacifico surfing beach and within walking distance to restaurants but you have to walk through a narrow street to the back street with your bags or suitcases, accessible only by foot or scooter.

− Manager was very unwelcoming and unhelpful. We never saw him/her only reachable by whatsapp but doesn’t reply quickly. Bathtub is cute but cannot be used, dirty, peeling, full of wildlife. Manager’s excuse, “under maintenance” but we were never notified. I asked to be moved to another villa with a working bathtub but the manager didn’t reply until the next day to give lame excuse followed by insensitive comment about the check out time which is way earlier than normal, 10am. You don’t get the whole villa, upstairs was not set-up so we can only use the downstairs. Dirty, didn’t use the kitchen and bathroom sink still got bird poop and the whole place is just not maintained and unclean. Glad we only booked 1 night.

Peaceful and very homey

The property is very homey, and peaceful. We really enjoyed the spacious atmosphere, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, making our stay very relaxing.

− However, the hot shower did not work during our stay, and we also experienced a power outage. While these issues affected our experience, we still appreciated the property’s cozy ambiance and peaceful environment.

We had a fantastic time at the lodge, it is an amazing place, you just need to be comfortable around wildlife.

The lodge is very distinctive. It is in an amazing location, right on the edge of the forest and less than 5 minutes’ walk from the beach. It has a really nice, shaded outdoor area so you can stay cool while relaxing during the middle of the day. The outdoor bathroom is very cool.

Bungalow mit Abstrichen

- die kleine Anlage mit 2 Bungalows ist schön hergerichtet - das Personal war freundlich - Es gibt einen Kühlschrank und gratis Kaffee sowie Trinkwasser in der Küche - der Außenbereich mit Sofa ist sehr gemütlich - die Lage ist nach hinten ins Inland versetzt und daher angenehm ruhig. Fußläufig ist alles gut erreichbar

− - wir waren zu dritt und mussten über Booking beide Villen anmieten. Vor Ort stellte sich heraus, dass theoretisch Platz für 5 Personen je Villa ist. Zwei unter dem Dach, allerdings ohne Aircon und Moskitinetz und drei im klimatisierten Zimmer unten. - Das mit Palmenblättern gedeckte Dach ist leider von Insekten befallen, ebenso die Holzbalken. Dadurch rieselt ständig Kot von der Decke. Die Angestellten putzen zwar jeden Tag, aber nach kurzer Zeit ist wieder alles voll. Auch im Innenraum und im Bett. - Ein Schrank und ein größeres Regal fehlt leider komplett

Beautiful setting but some improvements could be made to improve stay given the price

Communication with the host was excellent. She helped us arrange transfer from the airport and to our next hotel. The place itself was in a beautiful setting. Beds were comfy.

− While the setting was beautiful the place itself wasn’t quite as nice as photos. While we appreciated this was a jungle setting it was more rustic than expected and this would be helpful to include in the listing. Would suggest mosquito nets over the beds as the doors and windows are not fully sealed therefore bugs get in (eg. Cockroaches, mosquitoes especially at night). The place also wasn’t as clean as expected (dust felt on floors etc.)

Big comfortable bed, cold AC, hot shower and beautiful garden

We really enjoy staying at Pretty Jungle because they also allow us to stay with our dogs and they enjoy the space. I love the garden area, it's very peaceful. Lovely to sit on the couch and read a book while being in that space. The bed is big and comfortable and the bedroom is spacious as well. The AC gets nice and cold and the shower gets nice and hot.
