Positano, Ravello, Amalfi: Orte mit klangvollen Namen, die sich wie Perlen einer edlen Halskette entlang einer der schönsten Küsten Italiens aneinander reihen. Seit Jahrzehnten steht diese atemberaubende Landschaft südlich von Neapel für die Sehnsucht nach einem Urlaub im Luxus, nach mediterranem Flair, unvergleichlichen Sonnenuntergängen, türkisblauem Meer und pittoresken Altstädten, deren Gebäude die Historie vergangener Jahrhunderte atmen. Und mittendrin? Da liegt das ehemalige Fischerdorf Conca dei Marini. Auf halber Strecke zwischen Amalfi und Positano an der kurvenreichen Küstenstraße gelegen, könnte man es fast übersehen. Wir hatten dagegen das Glück genau hier mit dem Apartment „House Marlidia“ ein wunderbares Zuhause auf Zeit gefunden zu haben. Gastgeber Domenico hat mit viel Liebe eine Ferienwohnung geschaffen, deren Ausstattung, Lage und Aussicht (nicht nur von der großen Terrasse, sondern auch aus allen Zimmern, wenn man das kleinere der beiden Bäder mal außer Acht lässt) unvergleichlich ist. Am frühen Morgen genießt man dort bei einer ersten Tasse Kaffee den Sonnenaufgang über Salerno und am Abend bei einem Gals Wein die letzten Sonnenstrahlen über dem Meer im Westen. Dazu kommt ein Gastgeber, der sich eher wie ein Freund anfühlt. Ganz gleich welchen Wunsch man äußert, er macht ihn wahr. Er gibt nicht nur Tipps für die schönsten Fleckchen in der Region, er chauffiert auch seine Gäste auf Wunsch dorthin, übernimmt Reservierungen und Buchungen, ob für ein romantisches Dinner oder einen privaten Bootsausflug, steht seinen Gästen stets mit Rat und Tat und einem freundlichen Lächeln zur Seite. Wir hatten dank ihm dort neun wunderbare Tage, die wir niemals vergessen werden.

Perfect place to relax on the Amalfi coast

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Perfect – A Dream Stay at Villa Marlidia Villa Marlidia was everything we hoped for and more — the perfect home base for our family holiday on the Amalfi Coast. From the moment we arrived, we felt so well taken care of. Domenico was an incredible host — kind, responsive, and helpful every step of the way. He even picked us up from Amalfi, which made our arrival so much easier (especially with all our luggage!). We were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco and homemade limoncello — the perfect ingredients for refreshing spritzes on the balcony with that stunning view! Domenico’s lovely parents also stopped by with homemade biscuits and even brought us extra sugar when we ran out. Such warm and thoughtful hospitality. The location is ideal — tucked away from the crowds of Positano and Amalfi, but still within walking distance of a couple of great local restaurants and a charming little supermarket. We even discovered a small tennis court/football pitch above the market with panoramic views — a hidden gem! The beach is nearby, down about 600 steps. It was a bit of a workout, but totally manageable — even for our 7- and 9-year-old kids and their grandma! There’s also a local bus that cuts the walk roughly in half. Villa Marlidia truly exceeded our expectations. The house was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the view from the terrace is simply breathtaking — we spent many happy hours just soaking it all in. The most wonderful apartment in Conca Dei Marini with a Superhost!

The best host ever Domenico collected us in his car from Amalfi centre which was a fantastic service for a small fee as taking the bus would have been difficult due to luggage and taking a taxi would have been really expensive. He drove us back to the apartment, carried our bags up the steps and greeted us with a delicious bottle of homemade limoncello! The apartment was wonderful. Ideal for a family of 4 or 5 with the most stunning view from the terrace including a whirlpool! We loved sitting on the terrace reading and listening to music. Domenico and his family were incredibly kind giving us fresh tomatoes and home made tomato sauce which was delicious. We absolutely recommend this apartment in Conca Dei Marini which is just 10 minute bus ride away from the hustle and bustle of Amalfi. There are a couple of excellent restaurants, one just up the steps and another just 5 minutes walk away above the local supermarket. Thank you Domenico for all you did for us. We look forward to returning one day! Ciao!

Just wonderful!

Everything about this stay was just wonderful. We were met by Domenico to help us park and check-in - he was flexible about our arrival time, which is great when you are road tripping. The apartment is big, newly decorated with beautiful views to the sea from every room. The terrace is just amazing - we spent a lot of time there taking in the views and enjoying the hot tub. Domenico was the perfect host, couldn’t do enough for us. Lots of steps to the beaches but we enjoyed the challenge and there are shuttles available if you prefer not to walk. Domenico also offered us a ride if we needed it. Absolutely loved our stay here - would love to come back again!
